You’ve not experienced such things yet, but always suspected that kind of freedom was possible - that there’s a wellspring in you, just waiting?
A deeper way of creating, feeling, living — just out of reach. You’ve felt the ache of it, even if you’ve never had the map.
But somewhere along the way, things got complicated. Rules crept in. Expectations piled up.
That quiet voice began to whisper:
"You can’t just do it your own way. You need credentials. You need permission."
And so, the fire dimmed.
Or never quite caught.
But here’s the thing:
It’s still there.
Smouldering.
Waiting.
Ready.
It may flicker low…
It may be buried beneath layers of expectation, comparison, and self-doubt…
It may get swamped by the sheer weight of the lives we lead, lives that take our time and attention, often blocking our essential nature.
But it never dies.
The Creative Freedom Academy isn’t here to teach you how to make a fire. You already have one. It's a human given - divinely gifted, if you like.
Our role is simply to draw it up —
He was a part-time boiler man for the Swallow Raincoat factory next door — and an expert in the art of fire-making!
I still remember watching him as a boy of three, carefully laying coal, kindling, and something called 'slack' on top, (the fine bits of coal left over from next door!) then striking the match, waiting…
And finally holding up a large unfolded sheet of newspaper across the opening (newspapers were huge in those days!) — not to block it, but to channel it. To pull the flame upward by focusing the draft.
We don’t give you new methods or long explanations of how this is true and that isn't, etc. Despite calling ourselves an academy, we actually give you nothing academic!
We simply hold the space —
to channel what’s already alive in you upward -
until it catches fully alight.
Until you feel the heat of your own truth again.
This is not about rules, or technique, or formulas.
It’s all about entrainment — aligning with your own rhythm, your own fire, until you feel it - feel it moving through you again.
My Story . . . Your Path
Just like it did for me, back in the late ‘70s —
when I landed in the St. Ives art scene with no training, no permission, and no sense of what I “should” do.
All I had was a hunger to paint.
I experimented. I followed my own impulse.
I walked the paintings around the houses, then the galleries.
And to my surprise, they sold.
The fire had drawn itself upward.
And now I’m here to help you do the same —
in your own way, in your own time, through your own hands.
